🚒On Sunday 11 October, Kiwanis members gathered at Barossa Club's Bonfire BBQ Event "A party with a purpose". The purpose was to enjoy ourselves at Robert Nitschke's property to see the huge bonfire, have a wonderful barbecue provided by Barossa Club and to have any profits being donated to The Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia Project of The Kiwanis District Children's Fund. From this and other donations each year Kiwanis Australia makes a good donation to this research project which is under the management of Prof Deb White at SAHMRI (The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute. The barbecue was delicious, with several choices of meats and salads. It was a beautiful day, sunny, and the night had a thunderstorm and rain, but still lovely outside. Here are some photos from the day.
