đŸ“£Murray Bridge Club in South Australia has just celebrated 30 years of great service. On Wednesday night 65 attended their special dinner celebration at the Murray Bridge RSL Club. While the majority were from various Kiwanis clubs, there were also several from the local Rotary Club on hand to show their congratulations as well. President Glen Dorsey welcomed everyone and then introduced Lt Governor for Division 8, Louise Heywood, who gave some very special awards: Kathy Franklin was given a Legion of Honour for 25 years of service and Glen Dorsey was also awarded a Legion of Honour. Also awarded was Sienna Grieger (daughter of club secretary Michelle). Sienna was made an Honorary Member, since she has been very involved with club activities and it is hoped that other young people will follow her lead. There were guest speakers - Geoff and Charles spoke about the successful book shop in Mt Barker, suggesting maybe service clubs in the Murray Bridge area might be able to look at doing something similar, and Wendy Ziersch, who is the Practice Manager at the Murray Bridge medical centre, gave a very interesting talk about her role and some of the big changes that have come to medical centres in recent years "Managing a Modern GP Practice" was the theme. There was a raffle and a beautiful cake which was sliced and sent around to happy guests. Thanks Peter Symons for the photos. And thanks to the Murray Bridge club for 30 years of service to the children of the world. #KidsNeedKiwanis #KiwanisNeedsYou [VS] ... See MoreSee Less
